National Parks

One of my "life goals" is to go to every national park in the United States.
So far, I'm been to 19 out of 56...37 to go!
The ones I have been to, and hiked in:

Cuyahoga Valley/Ohio
Big Bend/Texas
Arches/Utah
Bryce Canyon/Utah
Capital Reef/Utah
Grand Canyon/Utah
Mesa Verde/Colorado
Petrified Forest/Arizona
Saguaro/Arizona
Zion/Utah
Death Valley/California
Joshua Tree/California
Badlands/South Dakota
Black Canyon of the Gunnison/Colorado
Grand Teton/Wyoming
Great Sand Dunes/Colorado
Rocky Mountains/Colorado
Yellowstone/Wyoming
Crater Lake/Oregon

I'd better keep on the move!

Family

I love spending time with family. I always have. I grew up in a large, extended family on a farm in northeastern Colorado. My first nephew and niece were born when I was nine years old, so even though my grandparents had passed away by the time I could remember, we always had extended family gathered at holidays and summer days.

I still love gathering with extended family on both Gary's and my sides of the family. Our parents are gone from our midst, but the new generations have taken their places at our tables and in our hearts.

My oldest great-nephew and great-neice have now graduated from high school and began their college careers. I'm so proud to hand the baton on to the next generation in our family.

AND, our granddaughter Emery has entered our lives and stolen our hearts.

I'm so thankful for family, for life, for the truly important blessings in life; that God is faithful from generation to generation.
