The Sun; The Son

It happened again in my first grade science class...we were talking about food chains...and about how the beginning of all food chains is the sun. Without the sun, there would be no life.

Aha, the same thought applies to our spiritual lives. Without the Son, there is no life. The more exposure we have to the Son, the more growth we have in our spiritual lives.

At "our" farm in northeast Colorado, irrigated corn is the biggest crop now. I know from my dad and my brother that corn needs a certain number of "sun index days" to grow to the fullest and best maturity it can.

Let's all increase our Son index days, that we might grow to full maturity in our spiritual lives.

The Son is the beginning of our spiritual food chain, for sure.
